Doha: Qatar Museums (QM) is calling on students, fresh graduates and talented members of the community to join its Fall Internship Programme which starts on October.
The internship will be between one to six months, depending on the chosen department as QM prepares to deliver several key projects this year. Deadline of application is on August 30.
QM explained that the programme integrates knowledge and theory acquired in the classroom with practical application and skills development in the professional settings of its museums, support departments and cultural and heritage sites.
Moreover, it provides an opportunity for career exploration and development as well as a chance to learn new skills by: participating in challenging projects, tasks and assignments, and receiving professional supervision and mentoring.
The internship programme is available in 14 departments: Arab Museum of Modern Art (Mathaf), Departments on Archaeology, Exhibitions, Facilities Management, Human Capital, Information Technology, Liwan Design Studios and Labs, Marketing and Communication, and Public Art.
Also at Msheireb Cultural Forum (M7), National Museum of Qatar, Creative Hubs, 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, and Qatar Preparatory School.
