Mokotów: French-bred Arabian Bayareq (Majd Al Arab x Wahash) carried the colours of owner Osama Omer Al Dafea to success when taking the second race at Stuzewiec Racecourse, Poland, on Sunday.

The three-year-old trained by Macie Kacprzyk improved on a recent second place at Warsaw and took the 1,600m contest by 1½ lengths under a good ride from jockey Konrad Mazur. Raayat Al Majd (Mister Ginoux) finished second, with Bashar Ibn Sayf (Sayf) a further four lengths back in third.

Bred by Amjad Al Jumaliy, Bayareq is by the Umm Qarn Purebred Arabian stallion and 5-time Gr.1 PA winner Majd Al Arab (Amer), who stands at Haras du Grand Courgeon in France. Bayareq is out of Wahash, a daughter of top racehorse and stallion Djendel (Manganate).
