Doha: Doha Municipality, represented by the Health Control Department of the Municipal Control Department, carried out intensive inspection campaigns of various restaurants and food establishments throughout Eid Al Adha.
The inspections covered Souq Waqif, Msheireb, Katara, The Pearl and several hotels located within the administrative boundaries of Doha Municipality.
During the campaign that started in June, the health control inspectors ensured food establishment workers’ compliance with health requirements in consumer complexes, popular kitchens, restaurants, butcheries and sweet shops ahead of Eid.
During the Eid days, the inspection focused on evening campaigns due to the high turnout.
Officials also intensified inspection of stores selling vegetables and fruits, sweets and nuts, and daily inspection of food establishments to ensure the safety of products offered to the public as well as inspection of meat, fish and poultry stores in consumer complexes and associations.
