Doha: Hafiz Nadeem captured five wickets, including a hat-trick, after making a useful 32 in Al Feroz Youngster’s 128-run rout of Kerala Eleven in a Division A match in the on-going Qatar Airways Cricket Tournament.

The Qatar Cricket Association is hosting the Qatar Airways Cricket Tournament in three divisions – A, B and C – at the West Bay Complex.
Batting first, Al Feroz Youngster made a healthy 269 all out in 42 overs. Qalandar struck 42 and Nadeem hit the second highest 32. Mujeeb (29) and Imran Ashraf (22) were other scorers. Zainuddin was the most successful bowler of the match, removing six players. Nazim got two wickets.
Kerala Eleven, however, could not bat with persistence, pluck and purpose and collapsed for just 141 in 30 overs. The wreckers-in-chief were Nadeem and Mujeeb, who got four wickets.
In another match, Doha Asian Club overcame a spirited chase by Commercial Bank and posted a 20-run victory. Doha Asian Club had three players getting half-centuries as they posted a competitive 254 for seven in 47 overs. Khurram Shehzad was the top run-getter with 83. Rizlan hit 59 and Qamar Sadiq made 58. Commercial Bank appeared to be heading for a successful pursuit but Awais (three wickets), Khalid (two wickets) and Ali Ishtiaq (two wickets) dashed their hopes. Kamran smashed 44 and was followed by Waleed (26) and Sajjad (23).
Janaka (46) and Duminda (four wickets) set up a fine 21-run victory for Garvey Lions Club during a Division B match against McDonald’s Club. Raja impressed with his all-round display (53 runs and three wickets) as he lifted Gulf Contracting Club to a 35-run victory against PCA. Ammar (46 not out) and Badar (39) inspired Q-Chem to chase a big 202-run target against Khyber Club by seven wickets. Tariq Afridi (69) and Bilal Afridi (58) boosted Khyber Club to 201 for five in 25 overs. Ammar anchored the chase with 46 not out.
