Dynamic performance, top speed, unmatched acceleration, and the thrill of driving, these and more you can get from a sports car. And yet more than what it seems to be a racing competition for some made this group extend a helping hand to communities.
Qatar Mustang Legends established in 2020 grew from five to 110 members now in a span of over a year, making the power train of the club swift towards the road.
One of its founders Mohamed Mosaad Afifi better known as “Kapo,” shared how this sports club started. “Our main goal when we founded this group is to help people, extend a helping hand to the public and give them a source of joy. And more than a sports club, this is a family. Our goal from the beginning is to make this a family.”
This is the extra power of the Qatar Mustang Legends, it ushers into the era of mobility of helping. For the past two years, the group partnered with Qatar Red Crescent on its activities, being the latter’s among its official volunteers.
They have given their full support during Ramadan this year, distributing food for the people. Imagine a food pack being delivered using a Mustang? Kapo revealed that “serving people in the best way we can is a joy in our heart.”
They have also participated in 2020 and this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness in October. What they do is hold a “Custom Show.” This group’s roadmap is pursuing mobility through one can say, public service.
Buckle up, we have something more.
Celebrations are underway for the Qatar National Day on Saturday, and Qatar Mustang Legends also prepared special activities tomorrow.
Kapo said that they will be displaying their members’ 40 cars dressed in Qatar flag hood cover; this will then be followed by a rally in West Bay and Corniche. He described this as “a good show. People can take photos along with the cars, so come around and enjoy.”
“Everyone has his own way to enjoy the car, we are driving a legion, we are not making a show or even threat in the road. Our club is built with one family, one team,” the founder explained. Driving at the pace with a goal of sincerity and brotherhood make their journey a good ride.
The lap for Qatar Mustang Legends is an endless track to follow, switching gear to full speed roars to more determination of serving. And although they are not on a race, even drifting, we take our hats off to this group, and give  the gold cup trophy for their grit and dedication for the public.
