Shujaat Khan has been invited as visiting faculty at the Dartington School of Music in England, the University of Washington in Seattle, and the University of California, Los Angeles.
The Embassy of India in association with the ICC Advisory Council is organising a sitar concert on Friday (Oct. 18, 2019).
Grammy-nominee sitarist Shujaat Husain Khan will showcase his art at Katara Drama Theater at 7pm.
Shujaat Khan will be accompanied on tabla by Amit Choubey and Sapan Anjaria.
Shujaat Khan has performed at prestigious music festivals in India and has performed in Asia, Africa, North America, and Europe.
“ We are glad that, as part of celebrations of India Qatar Year of Culture 2019, we are able to host an artist of his stature and talent, Ambassador of India Qatar P Kumaran said.
ICC Advisory Council Chairman KM Varghese said he’s glad that the council could “chip in with this program to support the Embassy in its effort to bring in world class Indian artists to Qatar as part of IQYOC celebrations”
