The General Authority of Customs (GAC) single window system ‘Al Nadeeb’ has registered 29,462 companies.

Al Nadeeb also completed 294,476 statements in the last six months, Bakheet Salem Alabhag, Acting Assistant Director of Operations Management and Risk Analysis Department, said in the GAC’s monthly newsletter. The Al Nadeeb system electronic system was designed to facilitate commercial and customs operations, focusing on customer satisfaction following the standards of the World Customs Organization and the World Trade Organization agreements.

“We are working on the concept of smart customs in line with technological progress and access to a digital customs authority,” Alabhag stated in the newsletter. He stated that the GAC seeks to automate all customs processes and procedures, provide specific services to create a stimulating investment environment while facilitating trade to ensure the flow of goods to and from Qatar.

The Authority, through Al Nadeeb, will also upload customs documents, easing data transfer and enhancing user experience by providing user-friendly screens.

The Al Nadeeb system has aided businesses and companies by providing them a unified platform for all government services of quality, performance, and reliability, which contributes to reducing time, cost, electronic authorization, attaching documents and files to the customs statement, as well as fast completion of customs transactions, facilitating customs clearance and the flow of goods, integration, and connectivity with government agencies.

“The system provides many statistical and information reports, such as financial, control, and statistical reports, to make development plans and improve performance,” Alabhag added.

He stressed the need for importers to understand the requirements and ensure they follow the required processes to avoid delays in processing their consignments.

Al Nadeeb is fully integrated into all ports and customs facilities in Qatar and offers a wide range of services to both the private and public sectors.

The system is a web-based and app customs service explicitly designed to digitise and streamline the customs clearance processes in the country.
