2,788 Covid-19 cases registered in past five days: Oman Health Ministry

Muscat: The Omani Ministry of Health said that 2,788 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) were registered in the Sultanate during the past five days, bringing the total number of positive COVID-19 cases to 205,501 in the Sultanate.

45 new COVID-19-related death cases were also reported during the said period (from Tuesday, May 11 till Saturday, May 15), taking the total number of COVID-19-related death cases to 2,193, the Omani Ministry of Health said.

It added that 3,951 new cases have recovered during the aforesaid period, bringing the total number to 190,342 recoveries.

The Ministry also pointed out that 255 are in intensive care units (ICUs).
