The winners of 12th Education Excellence Award (EEA) 2019 were named by the Organizing Committee of the Award at a ceremony held yesterday. EEA is run by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education
A total of 94 students, research scholars, teachers and educational institutions bagged the Award in nine categories. Dr Hamadah Al Sulaiti, Executive Director of the Award has announced the names of winners.
The winners will be honoured at a cerement scheduled to be held on March 3, said Al Sualiti, adding that a documentary exhibition of the Award will be held from February 10 to March 10, 2019.
“A total of 292 candidates applied for 12th Education Excellence Award which is big number compered to the previous edition,” said Hasan Al Muhammadi, President of Executive Committee of the Award while speaking at the ceremony.
He said that under excellence student category, 22 students of primary schools, 18 student each from preparatory and secondary schools bagged the award.
A total of 26 students won the award under the excellence college student category. One student received excellence scientific research award and three teaches got award under excellence teacher category. Under the categories of master and Ph.D two and three winners were named respectively.
Ali bin Jassem Secondary School for Boys represented by Director of School Hadi Abdullah Al Baridi received the excellent school award.
The students of Al Bayan School bagged 22 awards, the highest number. The number of winners increased 94 in 12th edition from 64 in 11th edition.
