Doha: Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (Bedaya Center), a joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank and Silatech, in collaboration with Lulu Hypermarket has revealed its latest initiatives to support local entrepreneurs and enhance their role in the society.

Under the new agreement, Qatari startup businesses will have the opportunity to display and promote their products free of charge in one of Doha’s most appealing retail stores.

The agreement facilitates Qatari projects specialized in food products such as juices, cheeses, dry food, spices, coffee, nuts, chocolate and dates to display their products in Lulu Hypermarket outlets for a period of three months.

All entrepreneurs wishing to be part in this initiative can submit their applications via Bedaya Center’s website, and they can view the terms and conditions necessary to participate in this initiative.

This opportunity is only for Qatari businesses and the business should not be operating for more than three years, participating projects must be licensed, and the product must have an appropriate design and packaging should be of high quality.

Speaking about the initiative, Abdulla Faleh Al Saeed - Board Member and Acting General Manager of Bedaya Center said,” We are thrilled to join hands again with LuLu Hypermarket to support our local entrepreneurs. This agreement follows our successful partnership with LuLu Hypermarket whereby we held educational workshops on the requirements of retail platforms, with the aim of raising awareness among entrepreneurs and owners of small, medium and home businesses. The workshops were highly informative as it provided all the necessary details to those who wish to develop their projects and educate them about the requirements needed to participate in retail platforms. All these initiatives are a continuation of the center’s efforts to spread the culture of entrepreneurship and the role of youth in society”.

“Today we culminate this constructive cooperation by providing opportunity for Qatari entrepreneurs to display their products at no cost in one of the most acclaimed retailers in the country. This initiative is in line with Bedaya’s relentless quest to enrich and enhance the capabilities of entrepreneurs in all directions with the aim of advancing them and putting them on the right path to start their first steps in the world of success. We are confident that this partnership will enable the participating entrepreneurs to expand their customer base and achieve a wider reach of their products,” he concluded.
