Doha: The Ministry of Culture, represented by the Qatari Publishers and Distributors Forum, organised a workshop to promote reading and writing skills among young girls.
The workshop, held within the activities of the “Reading is Life” programme, was presented by Manager of the Children’s Literature Centre Asma Al Kuwari, and Amna Abu Qarja, events officer at the Qatari Publishers and Distributors Forum.
Amna Abu Qarja said that the workshop aims to encourage girls to read and write, noting that the workshop will continue until August 16, when the activities of the “Reading is Life” programme conclude.
The workshop is part of many programmes and projects supported by the Ministry of Culture with the aim of promoting reading among girls and highlighting their prospective role in forming the future.
