With the participation of 19 countries and around 250 companies, the 5th edition of Katara International Hunting & Falcons Exhibition (S’hail 2021) will be held next month (from September 7 to 11).
“Preparations are now almost complete, and more than 250 companies from across the world have expressed their desire to attend and participate in the event,” said Khalifa Al Humaidi, the exhibition’s media spokesman.
The event provides an important platform to introduce Qatari culture and heritage to international visitors displaying a main element of the heritage of Qatari ancestors related to hunting and falconry. It is organised by Cultural Village Foundation – Katara.
Speaking to Qatar Radio recently, Al Humaidi said that according to information available so far, 19 countries will participate in the exhibition and 250 companies have expressed their desire to participate in it. “This is a big number in the world of international exhibitions.”
He explained that among the participating countries are Italy, the UK, the US, Albania, Russia, the Gulf countries and many companies from Europe and other continents.
“The new element in the upcoming fifth edition is that the space has been increased compared to the previous editions. The space in the previous exhibitions did not exceed 7000 square meters, while the upcoming edition will be held on an area of about 12,000 square meters,” the exhibition’s media spokesman further said.
S’hail has emerged as an international hub for hunting and falcon enthusiasts from all over the world.
The exhibition is one of the largest international exhibitions specialised in falcons, which includes numerous activities and events; namely, falcon auction and exhibitions for falcons and haunting. It attracts merchants and buyers who have come to check the latest technologies in this field. S’hail exhibition takes its name from a star which signals the start of the hunting season and which hunters eagerly await to shine in the sky to begin their journey.
