Northwesterly wind to blow across Qatar from Monday

Doha: Weather charts indicate that the country will continue to be affected by fresh to strong northwesterly wind (locally known AlBawarih) from Monday (June 17) until the end of the week said Qatar Meteorology Department.

Wind speed expected to range between 20  to 30 kt gusting to 38 kt at times during daytime.

The northerly windy conditions expected to cause wave height to rise (5-8 Ft)  rising to 12 Ft at places at times and low visibility (below 2km at times) due to blowing dust especially in open areas.

In addition, high temperatures fluctuating around mid forty degree Celsius is expected to continue over most areas. Therefore, the Qatar Meteorology Department urged all residents to be cautious and to avoid sea activities as well as to follow the latest updates through its official social accounts.
