Doha: The officials of North Security Administration of Ministry of Interior arrested a gang of seven people of different nationalities (African and Asian) for assisting maids run away from the homes of their sponsors and harbouring them in different regions of the country.
In a tweet on its official account, the ministry said that the gang were assissting the domestic workers (house maids) runway and then provide them work as maids illegally.
A number of gang members were arrested while sheltering runaway workers in their accommodations.
The arrested members were referred to the judicial authorities to complete the legal procedures in this regard.
