Hong Kong: Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks ended in negative territory on Tuesday following a weak lead from Wall Street while investors were also left disappointed by soft Chinese economic data.
The Hang Seng Index eased 0.10 percent, or 30.06 points, to close at 29,152.12.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.53 percent, or 18.29 points, to 3,429.55 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, fell 0.95 percent, or 19.40 points, to 2,025.78.
