Two deaths and 235 Covid-19 cases reported in Qatar on Sept 14

Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today recorded 235 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 249 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 118,931.

Out of the 235 new cases, 228 are community cases and 7 from travellers returning from abroad.
The Ministry also announced two deaths - aged 80 and 81 - all were receiving the necessary medical care.

All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 121,975 and there are 2837 active cases under treatment. So far, 207 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.

Ministry conducted 4396 tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 695,427 tests. There are 47 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total patients in the hospital to 411.

Five patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 55.

While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:

- Adherence to physical distancing.

- Avoid close contact with others, crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.

- Wearing a face mask.

- Washing hands regularly.
