Doha: Paris Saint-Germain player Neymar da Silva Santos Jr. left Qatar on Sunday after a successful ankle surgery at Aspetar, the official medical partner of the team.
The 31-year-old shared an update in an Instagram story a photo of his injured ankle wrapped in a plaster cast, with a caption "home".

The hospital also shared a photo of the Brazilian football star after being discharged following a successful surgery that he underwent on Friday, March 10.

In a statement released after the operation, Aspetar stated that the surgery's success will "spare the player the risk of suffering from a recurrence of the injury, and the player will currently undergo a period of rest and recovery from the operation."
Neymar stayed at Aspetar sports hospital for two days and will undergo physiotherapy soon. The player picked up his injury last month in a 4-3 win over Lille.
"Later on we will evaluate a time for a return on the field. Right now it is a bit soon to talk about," Hakim Chalabi, PSG's medical director general, was quoted on AFP.
"He is going to be on crutches for a few days but then after he should be back to half weight lifting," he added.
