DOHA: The 6th annual Mena Investment Management Forum (MIMF 2012), the premier regional event for the asset management industry, is set to open here today. The Qatar Financial Centre Authority (QFC Authority) is supporting the event for the second year running.
The forum, which will be held from November 12 to 14, will bring together leading asset management and investment experts and investment decision makers from countries across the Mena region.
Previously known as Fund Forum Middle East, this is the second time the conference has come to Qatar. H E Yousuf Hussain Kamal, Minister of Economy & Finance, will give the welcome address and Abdulrahman Ahmad Al Shaibi, Managing Director and Board member QFC Authority, will speak on “Qatar’s Place in Global Asset Management”.
Yousuf Al Jaida, Director – Strategic Development, Asset Management & Banking, QFC Authority, will address “An overview of the Asset Management industry in the GCC and Qatar’s vision to create a regional asset management hub”. More than 100 speakers are taking part.
