Bright Future Pakistani International School celebrated the 2012 Teachers’ Day with pomp and splendour. A morning assembly was conducted specially to pay tribute to the valuable contribution made by teachers “in shaping the students’ minds. Teachers give direction and guide students to their right careers path,” Principal Mussarat Irfan said.
The programme opened with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Talha Iqbal. Maham Shezad, Rida Arif, Saad, Sarah Arif and Laiba Shazad gave their speeches recounting the significant roles teachers play in developing individuals and subsequently, improve the society and their country as a whole.
To add fun and enjoyment, Maham Fahkir, Zainab Iqbal, Ajiya Ashen, Wardah Zubair and Nimra Malik rendered their teachers songs. Irfan, in her talk acknowledged the teachers for dedicating a considerable part of their life doing the noblest profession - teaching. She compared them to a candle “which burns itself and gives light to brighten every child’s future.”
