The region’s leading food and grocery delivery app, talabat yesterday announced, on top of other initiatives that has already been rolled out this week, that 100 percent of all profit made from 12pm to 4pm today whether it is food or non-food orders will be donated to Lebanon through the #LunchforLebanon initiative.
Francisco de Sousa, Managing Director of talabat Qatar said: “The initiative ‘talabat solidarity with everyone affected’, by announcing that on top of other projects already rolling to donate to Lebanon, talabat will also contribute with the full profit made from 12pm to 4pm today, inviting all customers to participate.”
Tomaso Rodriguez, Chief Executive Officer of talabat, said that talabat employees feel a strong sense of solidarity with the people of Lebanon.
“I think we have all been affected by the tragedy which unfolded in Beirut, and the outpouring of support from the region has been testament to that. Many of our employees, customers, and partners are Lebanese and are heavily affected by the situation in Beirut, and our hearts and thoughts are with them and their families. We – not only as talabat but as individuals — want to make sure that we’re doing everything we can to help,” said Rodriguez.
“This means using our platform as a vehicle for support. Through #LunchforLebanon, every order placed between 12pm - 4pm across all the region will contribute to Lebanon. We will be donating 100 percent of our profits to the recovery efforts in Lebanon.”
Customers can download the talabat application from the Google Play Store or IOS App store to order their meals during #LunchforLebanon.
