Doha, Qatar: Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) in Qatar has launched an extensive campaign to promote the use of the Nar’aakom app and the 107 hotline.
This initiative aims to encourage people to actively engage in their healthcare needs and avail the benefits available across 31 health centers.
Recognising the importance of accessible healthcare, the PHCC campaign leverages social media platforms, websites, and billboards to reach a wide audience across Qatar. The primary objective is to promote the Nar’aakom app and the 107 hotline as easy tools for accessing medical services.
The campaign under the theme “Reaching our services easier now” highlights that appointments could be fixed or rescheduled for patients or their dependents for clinics including family medicine, smoking cessation, dental services, mental health services, dietetics, and early screening at designated health centres, through Nar’aakom app and the 107 hotline.
The Nar’aakom app is a user-friendly bilingual platform that provides complete management of services from keeping track of the health card expiry date and online renewal, to accessing the assigned health center and finding a personal assigned family physician. Nar’aakom also allows changing the health centre when required and family physicians at the registered health centre.
Available for both iPhones and Android devices, the Nar’aakom application can be downloaded from Apple’s App Store and Google Play Store in Qatar.
To access services, individuals need to have an account with Qatar’s National Authentication System (Tawtheeq). Residents with QID and over 18 years of age can access the service.
While PHCC’s unified ‘Hayak 107’ for all health centres makes it easy for visitors to receive information and schedule appointments. The service is available in five languages. The hotline is staffed by highly trained healthcare professionals who are ready to provide accurate information and guide callers to the appropriate medical care.
PHCC has more than 1,710,112 registered individuals. More than 5,000 clinicians serve across 31 health centers. Around 89 services are provided by PHCC and it has seen an approximate of more than 10,000 patient visits daily in 2022.
