DFI Cinema presents 'Paper Planes'

DFI will be screening a Made in Qatar short film ‘Dana’s Kite’ by Noor Al Nasr who will hold a short Q&A session and then there will be a screening of Robert Connolly’s heart-warming feature-film ‘Paper Planes’.

Souq Waqif Equestrian Festival

Souq Waqif is organising an Arabian horse show. The event is inclusive of a horse auction as well as show jumping competition where some of the best young riders and national champions will showcase their talents while riding on a horse.

The event is free and open to all.

Ai Weiwei’s expo at Fire Station

Thousands of clothes and shoes once owned by refugees are displayed in Laundromat, the first ever exhibition in the Gulf by iconoclastic Chinese artist Ai Weiwei that puts the spotlight on the global refugee crisis.

A total of 2,046 articles of clothing are neatly arranged and hanged on clothes racks which stand on the floor covered with Ai’s Newsfeed comprising daily press coverage, personal observations and images on war, displacement, and the refugee and migrant journey among others.

Katara to host Sachal Jazz Concert on Monday

Sachal Jazz Ensemble, the much acclaimed Pakistani musicians will mesmerize the audience with their performance in Qatar next week.

Embassy of Pakistan in cooperation with Katara Cultural Village is organizing "Sachal Jazz Concert" at the Drama theatre - Building 16.

Entry for the concert is free, but a registration is required for attending the event, which can be done on Katara website. Kids under 6 are not allowed.
