Shanghai--World champion Lewis Hamilton was in control of the Chinese Grand Prix at the halfway stage on Sunday ahead of Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg.
Hamilton got away smoothly from pole position as the Ferrari cars driven by Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen quickly fell in behind the Mercedes pair.
After 28 of 56 laps, Hamilton was about two seconds ahead of Rosberg, meaning the championship leader still has work to do to secure his second win of the year.
