Doha: Within the framework of adopting sports concept to focus on achieving educational goals, Reach Out To Asia (ROTA), Qatar’s leading non-profit organisation and the Qatar Football Association (QFA), the governing body of football in Qatar, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that sets out the commitment of both parties to support the advancement of youth capabilities and furthering long-term development and leadership capacity-building.
The agreement was signed by Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of QFA and ROTA Executive Director Essa Al Mannai at Al Bidda Tower.
Commenting on the occasion, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani said: “Our partnership agreement with ROTA is another example of QFA’s commitment to mark social responsibility programmes one of the key priorities in its vision. QFA has introduced countless social responsibility programmes with several local entities. Our work with ROTA is one of a kind as we will jointly aim to reach different communities locally and regionally while making QFA’s 2021 vision a reality. Football, Education and Culture, the inseparable trio, encourage cultural exchange and promote the diversity of cultures; we are sure that partnering with ROTA will achieve this social goal locally and internationally.” Speaking on the occasion Al Mannai said: “We are delighted to sign an agreement with Qatar Football Association that aims to increase awareness about the importance of exercise and leading a healthy lifestyle by playing an active sport like football. We are committed to providing a platform for community events that youth can participate in, so they can learn more about the importance of playing football”.
Al Mannai added: “We meet today because there is a common purpose that brings our two successful entities together. We are two responsible institutions aware of our leading role and what the local and international communities are requiring from both of us, as being part of the State of Qatar, a country with a rational leadership that provided us with the 2030 clear national vision for the future”.
During the four seasons of executing this agreement, ROTA and QFA will announce the programs and activities of the agreement through media and social media to promote the countless events and initiatives that the two parties will organize in aim to support social, educational, and sport fields to develop the unprivileged communities.
