Al Malki attends sports media meeting

The members of the Arab Federation for Sports Journalism (AFSJ), durring their meeting in Amman.

DOHA: Mohammed Jamil Abdelkader has been elected as President of Arab Federation for Sports Journalism (AFSJ) for the next four years. Qatar’s Abdullah Al Marri is the new  Secretary-General. Al Marri is also the Secretary-General of Qatar Sports Press Committee which is headed by Al Malki.
Executive Committee members: Talal Al Sheikh (Saudi Arabia), Zayata Radwan (Egypt), Badr Al Din Al Idrisi (Morocco), Adnan (Kuwait), Abdel Fattah (Libya), Dr Hadi Abdullah (Iraq), Ramadan Al Sayed (Sudan), Mohammed Alhaam (Palestine), Hussein Znaqa (Algeria) and Mohammed Albada (UAE ).
  Qatar’s Mohammed Al Malki, Vice President of AIPS, attended the meeting held in the Jordanian capital Amman. Besides Al Malki, the meeting was also attended by Faisal Qenaei (Kuwait), Abdullah Ibrahim (UAE) and Jalal Buserarh (Morocco).
Qatar’s Rashid Abdullah Al Mohannadi was named as media coordinator of the Arab body for journalists. The newly-elected President Mohammed Jamil Abdelkader thanked the officials for attending the meeting besides urging colleagues to uphold the true spirit of sports journalism.
Al Malki extended the greetings of AIPS President Gianni Merlo to the Arab body, saying the world sports committee was working tirelessly to encourage new people to take up careers in sports journalism. 
He added that senior members of AIPS were also working to a plan to hold meetings and seminars to highlight important decisions made by AIPS. Dr Sami Al Majal, President of the Supreme Council for Youth Affairs in Jordan, spoke about the role played by sports journalists across the regions.
A number of sports journalists from across the region attended the meeting. Dr Sari Hamdan, vice president of the Jordanian Olympic Committee, and Lana Jaghbir, Secretary-General of the Jordanian Olympic Committee, were also present.
