Doha: Assistant Foreign Minister and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs H E Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met on Thursday with the UK Special Envoy for Famine Prevention and Humanitarian Affairs H E Nick Dyer and Ambassador of the UK to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan H E Hugo Shorter.
During the meeting, they reviewed the latest developments in the Afghan issue, especially the efforts of the State of Qatar in providing and facilitating humanitarian access, and cooperation between the two sides in humanitarian aspects and human rights, especially women’s education in Afghanistan.
The Assistant Foreign Minister also met with Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands H E Paul Huijts in Doha on Thursday.
During the meeting, they reviewed cooperation and relations between the two countries, and discussed prospects for cooperation on Afghanistan, including facilitating movement to and from Afghanistan, and ways to support the Afghan people, especially empowering women.
During the meeting, the two sides expressed their appreciation for the current partnership between the two countries in various fields.
Ambassador of the Netherlands to Qatar H E Marjan Kamstra and Ambassador of the Netherlands to Afghanistan H E Caecilia Wijgers attended the meeting.
