Food, shopping, circus, music, marathon... There is a long list of events happening in Doha this weekend. Though the weather department has predicted a dip in temperatures, grab some warm clothes and head out with your loved ones to have a wonderful time.  

Shop Qatar Events 

This is the first weekend of Qatar's major shopping festival Shop Qatar on until February 7 and Qatar tourism body is leaving no stones unturned. There will be 10 food outlets on Corniche open from 4:30 to 10:30pm until Saturday near Orry the Oryx Statue. Families can enjoy the fireworks while fill their tummy with food from food trucks and kiosks that will offer both gourmet food and local dishes.  

Lively entertainment is in store for Corniche visitors including music parades, stilt walkers, illusionists, Arda dance, among others. Siraj screenings are scheduled to run for half an hour starting 6.30pm, 7.30pm, 8.30pm and 9.30pm, while firework displays will light up the skies at 8pm every day.

The festival’s retail partners Mall of Qatar, Ezdan Mall, Hyatt Plaza, Al Khor Mall, Lagoona Mall, Gulf Mall, Landmark, Dar Al Salam Mall, The Gate and The Pearl-Qatar all have various weekend shows lined up for the visitors.  

Shreya Ghoshal Live in Qatar 

Indian playback singer Shreya Ghoshal will be in Doha to take you on a musical journey on January 13 at Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena. Accompanied by her group of 13 musicians, the event promises to be a night of soulful melody and music.

Storytime at Mathaf 

Maktaba Children's Library will be organising an English and Arabic session on exploring and learning art through storytelling and storytelling through art. This session organised for children between 4 and 9 will be based on Dia al-Azzawi: A Retrospective through reading, artwork analysis, and playful in-gallery activities.
