Doha: For the third consecutive year Qatar Petroleum refinery staff in Mesaieed took part in an event to promote team work and raise awareness on safety and environmental issues concerning the refinery and society as a whole.
The event was called ‘Refinery Day’ and the day’s slogan, chosen from those submitted by employees, was; ‘Today we share, forever we care’. A large area within the fefinery was prepared and grass turf laid by employees, several tress were also planted to give a greener look to the Refinery.
Director Refining at QP, Hussain Al Ishaq commended employees for these acts and for the other activities. He said: “We continue to regard environment care as our prime and common duty and raise awareness on it by this collective approach we have forged a team having ever stronger relationsAl Ishaq added, “I would like to thank Minister of Energy and Industry Chairman and Managing Director of QP, H E Dr Mohammed Saleh Al Sada for his continued support in relation to Safety and Environmental matters and events of this nature”.
