DOHA: Speaker of the Shura Council HE Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim met on Sunday with Speaker of the House of Representatives of the State of Libya HE Aguila Saleh, who is visiting the country.
During the meeting, they reviewed the latest developments in the situation in Libya and ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
HE the Speaker of the Shura Council affirmed Qatar's support for everything that would achieve peace and stability in Libya and its keenness on the sovereignty and unity of its territory, achieving the aspirations of the brotherly Libyan people for security and stability, and achieving national reconciliation among all its components, as well as full support for the relevant Security Council resolutions.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives of Libya expressed thanks and appreciation for Qatar's support to the Libyan people and its efforts to restore harmony and stability to Libya, preserve its interests, and achieve the aspirations of its people.
