Qatar National Day is less than a week away.  This is also a time when people decorate their vehicles with the national flag and other patriotic symbols. However, the traffic department, under the Ministry of Interior has issued an advisory how not to go overboard with the celebrations.

Vehicle owners intending to decorate their vehicles as part of the National Day celebrations are allowed to do so from December 15 to December 21.

These are the things to keep in mind:

Do not load more passengers than stipulated.

Do not go out of the windows. Don’t put your head, neck, arms and leg in danger

Do not darken or colour the windshield.

Do not change the colour of the vehicle

Do not cover the front and rear plate numbers

If you feel like knowing more, please go through The Peninsula story of a previous year:

Restrictions on use of private vehicles for National Day celebrations; Vehicle decoration from Dec 15 to 21 only
