Doha: The Chairman of the Swedish Association of Qatar and Director of Business Development at Ginger Camel, Ann Jangsell said that the Sweden community in Qatar holds a lot of events in Qatar in order to keep the members connected with each other.

Although Ann Jangsell is just one year old in Qatar but she has accomplished a lot for the Swedish community in Qatar. She has become Chairman of the Swedish Association of Qatar in a short span of time.

Regarding the activities that Sweden community is doing in Qatar, Jangsell said “We consider Qatar as our home and we are very proud to be here and it is great and a nice country.  We are arranging a lot of events such as desert trips together to see and explore the beautiful Qatari scenery and landscape.”

“Also we arrange a Golf Tournament with  golf lovers in our community. This year it was held in the beginning of November, with support of sponsors such as, GAC, Safegate, Ängelholms Naprapatklinik, Doha Golf Club, ProSports and Intercontinental Hotel,” she said.

Swedish community is very active and its members meet once in a month for a traditional Swedish FIKA, which means coffee and pastries together. Members meet up in various interesting places and speak Swedish together and share their experiences with each other. They helpful each other with handy recommendations for any Swedish newcomers in Qatar.
