Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today recorded 206 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 232 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 117,978.
Out of the 206 new cases, 194 are community cases and 12 from travellers returning from abroad.
The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 121,052 and there are 2869 active cases under treatment. So far, 205 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.
Ministry conducted 4071 tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 676,170 tests. There are 50 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total patients in the hospital to 392.
Three patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 47.
All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.
While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:
- Adherence to physical distancing.
- Avoid close contact with others, crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.
- Wearing a face mask.
- Washing hands regularly.
