As part of the country’s preventive and precautionary measures put in place to curb the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and safeguard the health of all PHCC health centers patients, the vulnerable and the elderly, the home health care service team at PHCC will be screening patients for COVD-19 by taking a swab from the nose and throat during the home visit.

Several days prior to the visit, the patient will receive a text message, then PHCC’s home healthcare team will contact patients to book an appointment to do the swab at home as soon as possible. If patients do not receive any call, they can contact the home care specialist at their health centre.

Through this home screening service, PHCC aims to detect COVID-19 infected cases at its earliest stage to be referred to the authorities to provide appropriate treatment and periodic follow-up by medical teams in order to avoid unnecessary visits by the elderly  to the health centers.

Supporting the country’s measures to stay at home to reduce the spread of Coronavirus.

This service has been upgraded to ensure the safety and efficiency of home service standards and is currently provided to the elderly with chronic diseases, in particular Qatari and GCC patients who are 60 and above.

Those are being currently followed-up to receive PHCC’s home care services.

PHCC is working continuously to facilitate access to all services with the best available means in order to continue providing and developing services tailored to the current circumstances.
