191 community Covid-19 cases in Qatar on Nov 9

Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today recorded 230 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 214 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 131,490.

Out of the 230 new cases, 191 are community cases and 39 from travellers returning from abroad.

So far, 232 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.

All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.

5288 people were tested for the first time in the last 24 hours (11136 tests in total) taking the total tests done so far to 1,021,116 tests.

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 134,433 and there are 2,711 active cases under treatment.

There are 41 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total patients in the hospital 294.

Four patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 41.

While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:

- Adherence to physical distancing

- Avoid close contact with others, crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate

- Wearing a face mask

- Washing hands regularly
