The Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) yesterday organised an awareness workshop for contractors and consultants about the institution’s procedures and services.
The aim of the workshop was to increase awareness about Kahramaa’s process & procedure for service connection to all accredited contractors as a link between Kahramaa, the investors and owners.
The awareness workshop was organised at Kahramaa Awareness Park.
Eng. Afaf Omar Al Sherawi, Acting Section Head of Customer Services Department, said that the new system helped reduce two steps of the procedures which were required for electricity and water connection from Kahramaa thus in turn saving the time and efforts of applicants. The new services are provided to the warehouses under certain terms and conditions set by Kahramaa and this service could be expanded to include different types of warehouse and other categories of real estate investments after evaluating the current experience.
Kahramaa recently has launched a smart service that will automatically register its customers at the time of registration of their rent contracts with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment.
According to newly-launched smart service, the procedures for registering customers with Kahramaa will be completed automatically by linking and integrating systems with the concerned authorities in the country without any need to submit requests or documents by customers.
