Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) warned consumers against Teff flour crackers – country of origin Spain – with the expiration dates July 30, October 17, and October 27, 2023.
MoPH also warned against consuming Schalr Knusperprot Dunkel crackers, also from Spain, expiring March 2, 3, 4, 6 and April 4, 2024 due to suspected Atropine and Scopolamine contaminations deemed higher than allowed levels.
The Ministry noted that it had been alerted about the aforementioned products from the European Rapid Alert Sustem for Food and Feed (RASFF).
A circular has been issued as per the Ministry demanding from suppliers the collection and immediate withdrawal of these products from the market.
If consumers are currently in possession of these items, the MoPH has instructed them to either dispose of the products or return them to the outlet where they had been purchased from.
