Katara holds artistic workshops and activities for all ages during Ramadan

Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation, Katara continues to hold diverse artistic workshops and activities for the young and old this month of Ramadan.

Today, the Katara Playstation Championship 2022 will be held at the southern side of the village from 8pm until midnight. 

This is organised in cooperation with Al-Taadoud Company. 

On its fourth edition, it has recorded the participation of nearly 400 people of different age groups, both men and women, and the tournament offers prizes for the first five places.

Also today, the public will be on a date with the Ramadan Nights in Culture and Literature event, which will host the Egyptian community in Building No. 41 in the Al Thuraya Planetarium. 

And tomorrow, April 8, the Sudanese community will be hosted, this event will address the most prominent writers and poets in those countries.

Meanwhile, the Katara Qatari Farmers Forum is organising a symposium introducing the idea and objectives of the forum, on the southern side of Katara at 9.30pm, also today and on April 14 and 21.

In order to diversify the events and activities to attract different age groups, Katara presents a number of workshops and various artistic activities, including a workshop entitled The Jar of Giving for children in the age group between 12 and 17 years. 

In addition to the collage and mix media workshop, which will be presented by artist Dina Hammam from 8pm to 10pm, and is intended for children aged 7 years and over. 

The two workshops will be presented in both Arabic and English.

Workshop on Arab Botanical Decoration (Islamic Securitisation) by calligrapher and plastic artist Ammar El-Desouky will be conducted every Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays (April 9, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20) for the age group of 18 years above.

QatART Makers Market will be held on April 8 and 15, from 8pm until midnight at Katara Art Studios, Building 19, which opens the way for artists and craftsmen to present their creations.
