Introduction of disruptive technology has significantly changed the recruitment process. The recruitment process has now become cost-effective, transparent and efficient due to advent of new technologies, said panelists panelists during a session of Tech Talks held by Qatar Financial Centre (QFC).

QFC’s Tech Talks is an informative series where technology firms, experts, and innovators from the local and international digital eco system share ideas and explore opportunities. The virtual event entitled ‘Disruptive Technologies in HR and Recruitment’ discussed about disruptive technologies, and businesses that have already disrupted industries. The session discussed disruptive technologies in recruitment and ground-breaking changes it has made in the Human Resources industry.

Nick Gray, Founder and Board Member, CloudRPO, a company providing recruitment services, leads a team who has created a disruptive technology platform for the recruiting industry.  He touched on how CloudRPO has transformed the recruitment industry.

Nick said, “With us doing work in Qatar, recruiters in the USA or UK can see vacancies straight away in Qatar. Recruiters still make the same fees but are benefited by getting access to employers they do not have access currently. We just charge the small percentage of that fee for using our platform.”

He added, “In Middle East, we have made the adoption and explanation of the platform very simple both to employers and recruiters. The technology is very simple to use. Another element of the platform a lot of information is redacted, also there is a huge amount of benefit in terms of transparency, he added.”

CloudRPO a recently established QFC company, is an ecosystem that connects employers, entrepreneurs across the globe. It is an algorithm-based ecosystem that organises the dealings of employers with recruiters across the world.

He said, it is easy to setup CloudRPO as an employer. “Our model is making dealing with recruiters as efficient as possible. So, in terms of benefitting recruiters it makes the lives of recruiters far more efficient as they can make placements with companies who they have never dealt with before.”

Richard Farleigh, an investor who has invested in over 100 startups and many of them are now very well-known brands shared his experience in angel investment.

He said that recruitment is expensive for professional hires, but we take cost out and introduce the efficiency. “Our driving goal is to make it more efficient,” he added.

He said, he has been involved in semi-conductors, drug discovery, an airline, brokerage business, nano technology, restaurants, food products, music software,

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and radiation, data management, mining, gemstones, and fish foods.
