Doha: The second edition of the ‘Qatar Achievements on Vocational Safety’ was launched yesterday by the Assistant Undersecretary for Services Affairs at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) H E Ahmed Al Sada.
The event, held under the MME auspices, also included an awards ceremony to recognise companies in Qatar that have adhered to the health and safety principles over the year.
The book, ‘Qatar Achievements on Vocational Safety’ highlights the country’s progress and development. It also shows Qatar’s drive to cater to labourers and guaranteeing the fundamental rights of workers.
One of the MME’s tasks is to abide by the directives of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to maintain the right balance between sustainable development and the environment, to preserve the future generations’ rights to live in a healthy and safe environment.

By partnering with different governmental entities to ensure a high level of understanding and commitment to safety regulations, the ministry further confirms its implementation of various programmes and training workshops in work safety, security, and health.
