Doha, Qatar: The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) is taking proactive measures to raise awareness about the rights of its staff. Emphasising the importance of respecting these rights, the PHCC aims to foster a supportive culture that values the well-being and contributions of its dedicated healthcare workforce.
Through their advocacy efforts, the PHCC sends a powerful message to the public, urging them to recognise and honour the rights of healthcare professionals who play a vital role in the nation’s health and well-being.
The campaign “A Safe and Healthy Work Environment, a Fundamental Right” PHCC’s social media handles aims to create awareness among the public about the significance of adhering to appointment schedules, showing patience during waiting times, and understanding and accepting healthcare workers’ decisions.
In a recent video release on “Caring for those who care”, PHCC has underscored the importance of scheduling appointments through the Nar’aakom application or by calling 107 hotline before visiting health centers. The video highlights the necessity of presenting the appointment confirmation to the center’s staff upon arrival, urging patients to keep patience while waiting their turn.
Furthermore, the video emphasises the significance of respecting healthcare workers’ decisions to prioritize patients based on their medical conditions. The PHCC underlines that the welfare of sick patients must take precedence, and it calls on all patients to cooperate with healthcare professionals in ensuring an efficient and fair system for medical attention.
In addition, the PHCC has appealed to patients to acknowledge and respect the decisions made by physicians regarding the issuance of medical leaves. Recognising the expertise of medical practitioners and their assessments of patients’ conditions is vital for a comprehensive healthcare approach.
The video release serves as a public service announcement to promote a smoother healthcare experience for patients and healthcare providers. It aims to create awareness among the public about the significance of adhering to appointment schedules, exhibiting patience during waiting times, and understanding and accepting healthcare workers’ decisions.
By promoting these essential practices, PHCC aims to enhance the overall healthcare experience for patients and ensure a seamless and well-organised system. It relies on the collective effort of patients and healthcare workers and is pivotal in providing efficient and quality healthcare services.
The video also includes an announcement by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH). It says, “Our employees and healthcare providers are doing their utmost best to provide the best possible healthcare services to patients and their families based on the ethics and principles of the healthcare profession derived from the Islamic Sharia and Qatari laws. “In return, we expect our patients and visitors to respect and appreciate healthcare providers and refrain from physical or verbal offenses against them to avoid being held liable under the law.”
It also says that in case of any feedback on the services provided, the public can contact the PHCC by calling 16000 or 107 or on PHCC’s official social media accounts. Also, the public can call MoPH’s Government health communications center by calling 16000 or 44070000.
