Top film stars from South India to perform

Doha: Summer in Qatar is reaching its culmination and to mark its end, the annual South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) will be held in Qatar for the first time with over 200 celebrities from Indian cinema attending the two-day event on August 15 & 16.
Legendary actors Chiranjeevi and Mohanlal will be the guests of honor for the event, which will be held at the Lusail Indoor Arena, hosting close to 8,000 people. The two-day event is split into 4 languages; August 15 will host Kannada and Telegu and August 16 will host Malyalam and Tamil.
Some of the other celebrities attending the event are:
Prithviraj Sukumar, Tovino Thomas, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Saniya Ayappan, Vijay Yesudas and Sithara from Malayalam.
Anirudh, Dhanush, Trisha, Aishwarya Rajesh, Jayam Ravi, Kushboo Sundar, Sarath kumar, Radhika Sharath Kumar, Mirchi Shiva from Tamil.
Ram Charan, Vijay Devarakonda, Keerthi Suresh, Rajendra Prasad, Sudheer Babu, Prakash Raj, Niddhi Agerwal and Payal Rajput from Telugu.
Yash, Rachitha Ram, Simran, Sonika Gowda, Sai Kumar, Advith Shetty and Nidhi Subbaiah from Kannada.
A plethora of stars are expected to perform during the award function. According to the organisers the performers include Devi Sri Prasad, Shriya Saran, Raai Laxmi, Oviya, Andrea Jaremiah, Nikhila Vimal, Nidhhi Agerwal, Manvitha Harish, Shanvi Srivatsava, Ashika Ranganath, Sharmiela Mandre, Saniya Iyappan and Anushree.

Now in its eighth year, SIIMA is the leading and most-viewed award show in the industry, recognizing talent and excellence while taking South Indian cinema across global horizons to create an engaging platform for South Indian actors to reach international fans.
“SIIMA is the Biggest Awards in India with Broadcast reach in over 120 countries and generating over 1.5 Billion Impressions on Social Media every year. This year about 600 guests will be travelling to Qatar and am sure all the celebrities and guests will enjoy the hospitality of Qatar,” Vishnu Induri, SIIMA Owner said during the press conference.
Apart from the movie awards, a business award to felicitate South Indian Business achievers will be held on the August 14 at the Mondrian Doha. The night will also felicitate Qatari Icons and Socio-economic contributors from country. The awards will be presented by celebrities and top industry professionals.
