Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, represented by the Private Education Affairs Sector, has asked all private schools and kindergartens to start preparing student results and to upload them on the National Student Information System (NSIS).
The Department of Private Schools Licenses in the Private Education Affairs Sector of the Ministry said this in a circular issued by Hamad Muhammad Al Ghali, Director of the Department, that was sent to all private schools and kindergartens.
This directive comes from the keenness of the Private Schools Licenses Department to ensure that all aspects related to the academic year 2020-21 are completed especially with regard to evaluating students and promoting them to higher grades according to their academic performance.
The circular emphasized that the students’ result should clearly be mentioned in the system adding the word ‘passed- failed - second round’, stating the dates for the second round also mentioned, taking into account the verification of the student’s data (name / grade) before entering the result.
In the event that the student failed, the reason should be added to the (NSIS) system, stating failed (with uploading the certificate) or absent (without an attachment).
This is required for students of the first grade of primary and above. The certificates should be scanned properly and the compulsory subjects should be included in the academic certificate according to the categories to which they apply.
The certificates should not be given to parents before the results (passed / failed) and uploading the certificates in the National Student Information System (NSIS). The circular indicated that it has been observed that some schools attach academic certificates in a way that violates the conditions and special directives by photographing them on a mobile phone.
The school has to ensure that certificates are scanned properly and that all certificates have the school's stamp or signature when attached.
