Doha: Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan revealed in a chat show that she reads Holy Quran and has treid fasting during Ramadan.
Lohan told a popular Kuwaiti show “Siwar Shoaib” hosted by Youtube star Shoaib Rashid that she has read 15 pages from the Holy Quran and practices writing some of the verses in Arabic.
Lohan had set the gossip mills on fire when she was spotted recently holding a Holy Quran in her hand.
Sometime earlier she was spotted wearing a hijab and this had started off a rumour that the ‘Mean Girls’ actress has converted to Islam. She had also removed her instagram photos and put “Alaikum Salam” in her bio.
When asked by the host about the photo with Quran she said she finds Quran “a solace and a safe thing for me to have.”
“I did Ramadan for three days with my friend from Kuwait, it was hard but it was good. It felt good,” she said in the show.
“Do you feel something special when you read it?” Rashid asked.
“I feel calmness,” Lohan said.
The video, which is the first episode of the new season, has been seen by more than 2 million people. Rashid has shown her eating Majboos Lahm (a rice dish made with meat) and licking her fingers in satisfaction.
