Doha: The Volleyball Open League (VOL) organised by Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA) will kick-off on March 14, it was announced here yesterday
QVA have Ali Al Faihani, QVA Board Member and Head of the Open League’s committee said invitations have been sent to communities, companies, institutions and ministries to participate in the second edition version of the VOL.
“Many teams had contributed to the success of the first version, we would like to continue this endeavor to give wide opportunity to practice sports and to use Volleyball as tool for sports for life and Sports for all and to bring players and communities members all together”, Ali said.
Qatar Under-17 National Team will participate in the event as a part of preparations for the Asia Championship which will be held in Sri Lanka next September.
The team registration process will begin on February 16, while the Technical Meeting will take place on March 8.
The opening ceremony of the tournament will take place at QVA Indoor Hall on March 14.
