The draw placed the Kyrgyzstan team in Group 6 alongside Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Thailand.
This marks the second time the Kyrgyzstan team participated in the continental championship, having first reached the finals in the 2019 edition hosted by the United Arab Emirates, where they made it to the round of 16.
Kyrgyzstan’s Slovak coach Stefan Tarkovic, upon arrival in Doha, expressed his pleasure at being in Qatar for their second spell at the AFC Asian Cup finals.
He emphasized the team’s significant ambition to go as far as possible in the tournament, despite the difficulty of the task in a group with strong teams.
The coach noted that the team had a good preparatory period and aim to complete their preparations in Doha before starting their matches in the continental championship.
Kyrgyzstan's first match in the group stage will be against Thailand on January 16 at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium.
