Papa John's is recognising the unsung heroes who have worked tirelessly to keep the nation safe by providing a 'Slice of Happiness' to say thank you. Papa John's will donate 1,000 small pizza vouchers to the Hamad Hospital Staff, those who deserve recognition most: nurses, doctors, and all front liners. Those in the communities who have helped navigate this enormously challenging year.
Representatives of Papa John's Pizza - Joseph Joseph, General Manager; Rohit Chavan, Marketing Manager, and Bjorn Lu, Operation Manager handed over the vouchers to Nasser Al Naimi, Deputy Chief of Quality for Center for Patient Experience and Staff Engagement (CPESE) and Director of Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute (HHQI).
"Our HMC front liners bravely fought through the challenges of the pandemic. There are countless ways for us to show them our appreciation for their noble and selfless acts. As one of the first private establishments in Qatar to tap HMC as a goodwill gesture of giving back to our frontline heroes, on behalf of HMC, I would like to thank Papa John's Pizza for recognising the heroic efforts of our frontlines," said Al Naimi.
Joseph Joseph, General Manager at Papa John's Pizza Qatar, said: "We owe an enormous debt of gratitude this year towards those who have gone the extra mile to care for and support vulnerable communities across the globe. With the 'Slice of Happiness' campaign, Papa John's wants to recognise and reward as many of these unsung heroes as possible. We know people love pizza, and we want to share ours to say thank you."
During the lockdown, Papa John's offered 50% off on its menu for all health care workers and front liners. To appreciate the effort of local police & healthcare, Papa John's and Qatar Charity distributed 500 free pizza to police staff and front-liners who are on duty fighting the pandemic.
