Doha: Some areas in Qatar were enveloped in dust with strong downward wind. This caused noticeable drop in visibility and Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) cautioned everyone to be careful.
“A noticeable drop in visibility is observed in some areas due to dust associated with strong downdraft winds from convective clouds, please be careful,” QMD tweeted.
Northern region of Qatar also reported moderate to thundery rain in the afternoon.

The Meteorological Department expects the weather tonight and until 6 am tomorrow (Sunday) to be accompanied by clouds and dust.
The winds on the coast are mostly southeasterly, at a speed ranging between 5 and 15 knots, with gusts of up to 18 knots sometimes. At sea, the winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly at a speed ranging between 3 and 13 knots.
The horizontal visibility will range between 4 and 8 km and could further decrease to 3 km in some areas.
