Beijing: The Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani left Beijing this evening, after attending the opening of the 24th Winter Olympics, which is being held in China from 4 to 20 February.
The Amir sent a telegram to President Xi Jinping, President of China, expressing his sincere thanks and appreciation for the warm welcome during the visit, which provided an opportunity to exchange views on issues of common interest and ways to support the strategic partnership between the two countries, which reflected mutual keenness to strengthen them in various fields for the good and interest of the two friendly peoples, wishing His Excellency the Chinese President good health and happiness and the friendly Chinese people continued progress and prosperity.
The Amir was accompanied by an official delegation.
