Doha, Qatar: Doha Academy celebrated the exceptional achievements of its students and educators at a heartfelt ceremony held to honour their contributions to academic and creative excellence.
The event, attended by students, parents, staff, and distinguished guests, reflected the school’s commitment to offering children an education for life—one that inspires success, creativity, and perseverance on both regional and global stages.
The ceremony was a tribute to students who excelled in academic examinations and creative competitions, as well as to the educators whose unwavering guidance helped them reach these significant milestones.
The event recognised the following students for their remarkable accomplishments: Abdelrahman Hazem Ahmed Fouad Moustafa achieved Grade A in three subjects in the May/June 2024 Pearson Edexcel International Advanced Subsidiary Level examinations and received the Highest Mark in the World in Pearson Edexcel International Advanced Subsidiary Chemistry and Physics.
Zayan Ahamed Rahuman Mohamed Rifkhan secured Grade 8 or above in five subjects across the November 2023 and May/June 2024 Pearson Edexcel International GCSE examinations.
Mohamad Ali Zaitoon earned the Highest Mark in the Middle East in Pearson Edexcel International GCSE Biology in November 2023.
Deema Abdulaziz Al Ghali Al Marri is awarded 1st Place in the prestigious “Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Child Creativity 2024” in Religious Studies and Research.
Layal Abdulaziz Al Ghali Al Marri is honoured with 3rd Place in the “Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Child Creativity 2024” in the Short Stories category.
The school also presented the Exemplary Educator Award to three exceptional teachers who have been instrumental in their students’ success. They are Tarek Foraida, for guiding students to achieve the Highest Scores in the Middle East in Biology, contributing to the 2023 Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards, Ibrahim Abou Dib, for mentoring students to secure the Highest Marks in the World in Physics, earning recognition at the 2024 Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards and High Achievers Awards and Steven Mockbill, for leading students to achieve the Highest Marks in the World in Chemistry, ensuring their eligibility for the 2024 Pearson awards.
During the ceremony, Principal of Doha Academy Edward Cooper, commended the honorees: “Once again Doha Academy has demonstrated the commitment of its Vision to be an accessible, all-inclusive and outstanding school. These are amazing results which reflect the extremely hard work of our students, the skills of our teachers, and the unerring support of our parents. To achieve these awards in all three sciences is wonderful.”
