Doha: A minor fire was reported at the under construction Al Sadd metro station earlier today. The situation has been quickly bought under control by the civil defence personnel and no causalities has been reported.
Confirming the incident Qatar Rail tweeted around an hour back that “A minor fire incident has been reported in entrance no. 5 at Al Sadd station and it was completely controlled.”
Meanhile, Ministry of Interior (MoI) also tweeted in Arabic that civil defense personnel had bought under control a small fire occurred at the entrance of Al Sadd rail station.
“The Civil Defense controls a small fire at the entrance the Rail station in the Al Sadd area without casualties,” a rough translation of the Arabic tweet by MoI said.
